We purchased an oversized chair and storage ottoman over Memorial Day weekend. We let him know we were doing a home remodel and wouldn’t be ready for the items until September. It wasn’t a problem. He held on to it for us in the warehouse down in Katy. We just picked it up yesterday and I could not be happier. It is beautiful, and super comfortable. (Don’t tell Bassett, but this chair is way more comfortable so far and I wish we got a sofa from Texas leather now).
Leather isn’t cheap, but definitely give brien a chance. He has some great stuff.

I still have not received them, but they set the expectation when I purchased them it would be several months.
Knowing that, I’m patiently waiting. Every time time I’ve called for an update, they are super nice and give me the latest update they have.
I called last week and the person who answered had customers in the store so he asked if he could call me back. Sure enough, he called me back and gave me an update.
I think buyers should know when you make a purchase that is made to order, it’s going to take a while. If you look at the lead time for Pottery Barn’s made to order leather furniture, it is also several months out.
I went with Texas Leather because it is a local shop, thus supporting local business and their furniture is Made in the USA.
I will submit another post with photos of my furniture once it arrives. I’m likely still 4 weeks away, but I honestly don’t mind. As Tom Petty says, “The waiting is the hardest part” 😂
One more thing to note - this company is a member of the Better Business Bureau. They have an A+ rating. They are not shady, they have a few complaints you can see and all complaints were resolved.
Update: July 30th I got my new couches and let me tell you….it was well worth the wait. It was exactly 5 months from the day I ordered to delivery. The quality of craftsmanship is not like anything I’ve seen before. They are beautiful. They smell so good!
The guys that delivered were the most impressive furniture delivery team I’ve ever seen. They treated my couches like they were delivering a piece of Baccarat Crystal.
I highly recommend Texas Leather, they truly care about the product they deliver. Yes, you will wait but anything worth having requires patience. Order now because they are estimating 8 months out. read less

Our salesman, Lance, had a very good eye for detail and what worked for us with our living room space. Once we pick out a couch and color, Lance was very helpful with choosing an ottoman to match our couch. While Lance was finalizing our paper work and getting everything together to complete the sale, Gilbert another salesman chatted with my wife and I and made us feel welcome and appreciated. It was such a treat to be offered drinks and discuss my vision with someone actually schooled in design. Gilbert is the best, and he was so helpful and patient as I flip flopped thru all the 100% customizable options. I literally just ordered my dream couch, so comfy and beautiful. Texas Leather provides a far superior experience and product with limitless options, and yet is still competitively priced compared to the big box stores. Mind Blown! If you need furniture Texas Leather is hands down the place to go ask for Gilbert, Highly Recommend! read less

We... read moreWanted to take a moment and let you know "why" my wife and I just recently purchased 2 custom made recliners from Chris. We could have bought custom leather traditional recliners at several locations around Austin, but we chose to do business with Chris at Texas Leather Furniture. I find that most reviews say such and such personal or business is the best, etc, but to me that doesn't really make a connection because what is the best??? For us, the "why" is because Chris made a connection with us upon 10 seconds of entering the showroom. He wasn't pushy, pressuring, or sales man like. He was just authentic with us and listened to what we were looking for and then showed us some suggestions based on what we told him were our preferences. Chris was extremely patient, courteous and very kind. It was conversational in nature and not my typical experience of making a high dollar purchase in other industries. We are grateful to Chris for taking the time to help make a wish come true for us and we couldn't be more pleased with the outcome of our decision. Chris didn't sell us anything, we chose to buy from him!!! Thank you my friend. read less

He was very helpful and was able to answer all of our questions. I appreciate that he gave us real expectations when it came to the leather and how it would do with having animals.
